Q-Tail “Grandma Ghost Pepper” in 8, 25, 50, and 100 packs.
She’s old, but spicy, wrinkly and wise. She knows of a secret faraway caye and she tells epic tails of adventures at sea. She hits the reds and specks right where they like it – in the gut! The Q-Tail “Grandma Ghost Pepper” is the ideal lure for wade fishing clean and clear water. It’s our take on a glass minnow imitation, with a little Boca Chica mix-up in the gunmetal-gray fleck.
Fish Fact: Swordfish, among other cold-water predators, have the ability to selectively heat their eyeballs when in extremely cold temperatures! YES! Swordfish are know to dive to extreme depths in order to hunt – depths at which water temperatures reach around 37 ⁰F. They combat these cold temperatures by utilizing a specialized muscle just behind their eyes to generate heat. Swordfish eyes can be some 50 ⁰F warmer than the surrounding waters. Why do they do this? Warm muscles work much better than cold muscles, especially if you’re using them to locate speedy prey items.

The way the Flex Mullet and Q-Tail move through the water and entice reds to bull rush my lure is amazing and exciting!
Aside from their great lures, Boca Chica takes a stance on conserving our marshes, which is something that more companies need to get behind. Really love that they donate to a good cause.
Great baits! Also really like their mission statement and the fact that they support estuarine research and conservation.
